Morse decoder

Listens to your microphone and decodes a Morse tone in real time. It auto-detects the tone's frequency and adapts to its speed as it listens — no need to know either in advance. Built on morse-pro, the library behind morsecode.world's own decoder.

Grey bar is live signal volume; red line is the on/off threshold. If the bar never crosses the line, lower the threshold; if it stays lit with no tone playing, raise it. Starting speed just needs to be roughly right — the decoder tracks the real speed from there, but a wildly wrong guess can misread the first few letters before it catches up. Word gap sets how much longer a pause between words needs to be than a pause between letters — international Morse timing uses about 5×, but if you don't pause deliberately longer between words, lower this so shorter pauses still count.
